The skin under my underarms is considerably darker than the rest of mybody. I am a lighter skinned spanish/black person who burns easily in the sun. Are there any safe, affordable and effective creams to lighten the skin under my arms?

avoid skin lightening cream with hydroquinone because they harm the skin in the long run.. try dermaline skin whitening cream and apply on the affected area...
Reply:My guess is to exfoliate your underarm area with a gentle granular scrub and then apply some type of soothing product over it. Usually the skin darkens because it's been irritated. I've used Ambi, on the areas of my skin where there's hyperpigmentation and it worked quickly. A product with Alphahydroxy Acid may help also. I think that Dark Opal carries a product which contains both alphahydroxy acid and hydroquinone (the lightening ingredient in Ambi).
Reply:There is not such thing as "skin lightning" creams the only thing they do is brighten the skin and take away the tan and it probably wont work underarms but i would say scrubbing works other than that i wodnt suggest anything

Are skin whitening creams good for face?!!!!
My brother told me he wanted to try it.I thought he was just kidding,but I suddenly discovered he was serious!Although I'm his sister and I'm not white[not black,but moderate],I don't wanna use these creams!Could someone tell me how much are these creams useful or harmful?

I am making a cream using a recipe recommended on the International Chronic Urticaria Society's website.
The recipe is:
2 tsp glycerine
1/2 Cup Eucerin
1 bottle nasalcrom.
None of the big drug store chains seem to sell it anymore. I found a company called The Science Company and bought a bottle. I did not know that there were different grades until the bottle was delivered and the label warned that the product was not for household use

warm water, so that you don't dry your skin.
Always pat dry, never rub.
Use a hydrating toner, without alcohol, before
moisturizing or treating.

Mere de la Mer is great! I picked up a sample on Ebay about a month ago...There are people selling it on there off and on, just search under the name...Its alot smoother and absorbs better than Creme de la Mer I think...and its cheaper! :) But everyones skin is different...Just my two cents, but give it a try, its about 70 to 120$ for one I think....Hope that helps!

i don't think that's possible. do what i do...just stay out of the sun, esp. in the middle of the day.
Reply:apply coconut water,it works in 3 days. before going to sleep apply olive oil .it will make your skin more fairer and pinkish.this works for me. moreover apply sunscreen 30 mins before stepping out in the sun..
Reply:if u have oily skin, a great option is a mixture of curd and a pinch of turmeric. apply on your face, allow to dry, wash off. do this every morning befor a bath. if you have dry skin, however, instead of using curd, use milk that has been curdled with a little bit of lemon juice. sandalwood is a great option for removing suntan. use a sandalwood face pack with rose water (for oily skin), or rose water and milk (for dry skin) once a week. i like the pack made by shene http://www.geocities.com/sheneherbals...
