It will work but I DO NOT recommend facial hair removal, it usually just gets worse, either by growing longer or turning black, and you don't want that!! Just leave it be, it's probably not as bad as you think.

Captain Knucklehead you really need to find some sort of CREAM to apply topically to your skull! When it seeps in that will be the first substance present inside for your life time!I am not so sure a miracle with cream can help this old timer! He is in Zombonnyland!

I think that both Nivea and L'Oreal have come out with quite an extensive range of mens skin products. They should be available at most of your chemists. If not, I don't see why you can't use the womens' ones. After all, we all end up with same type of wrinkles don't we?

There's not really an accurate answer you could get (aside from calling the company to see if they list a percentage), primarily because IU is a measurement of potency, not weight or volume (which creams are measured in, like Ounces).

One thing I can say is that if the 2 ounce container has 200,000 IU, that means that every 1/8th teaspoon (which is a typical dose for many creams) would only have about 2,000 IU, which is about 40% of the RDA (which is the recommended daily minimum for basic health), and only 20% of the normal dose of Vitamin A. That's a pretty low amount unless you're taking a multivitamin as well or have a good source of Vitamin A in your diet.

Any oil free sunscreen - SPF 15 for days spent mostly indoors, SPF 30 if you are spending the day walking around outside frequently.

You need an oil for your face. Its a huge misconception that oil gives you acne. without it your skin is dry and contributes to wrinkles. the only oil that actually clogs your pores in mineral oil (which is found in most commercial products out there) try a jojoba oil (amazing) because it closely resembles our healthy skin, it doens't cause acne and its firming as well. and it gives you a nice glow. (not greasy..you should have to massage it in) you can also combine 2 drops of frankincesne oil into it as this oil smooths out wrinkles.

Always! I'm actually proud of the skin I have. People compliment me a lot on its softness too. Of course vitamins do their bit too. I know it can be chore sometimes but I recommend applying lotion always after a bath.

It was originally used for wrinkles, then they started perscribing it for everything... and it only works for a small percentage of people. I had no luck at all with it.

Reply:Here in the US, mederma is kept in the pharmacy. I bought mine at a grocery store pharmacy. I am using it for stretch marks and I haven't seen huge results yet but if you read the directions, you need to apply the cream 3-4 times a day. I only apply it 2 times a day, if that because I have a 3 month old and lots more to deal with.

Another thing that really helps with stretch marks is pure vitamin E oil.
Reply:You can get it at any pharmacy or pharmacy section of a store. I bought it and it doesn't work. My father in law is chief of plastic surgery and even he says it doesn't work.

To avoid stretch marks eat lots of blueberries and rub Vitamin E on your skin. Once you have them they do their own thing.
Reply:Save your money, buy Vit e gel caps open them and rub, drink lots of water 4 - 6 liters a day. This will hydrate the skin and the marks will fade some, but they never go away unless you laser them or have surgery to cut them away ( like a tummy tuck)

Reply:No, it's just for burns to prevent infection, I wouldn't use it on a rash or bites. Try using calamine lotion or cortizone cream, they both work well and can be bought at any drugstore. Good luck!

Also, the common side effects are hives; itching; rash; redness; skin discoloration... therefore it may not be useful in treating itching skin, unless the itch is caused by a bacteria.

Cocoa butter and liquid vitamin E oil are good preventative measures. I like both. I'm not sure about after you get the marks though. If you keep your skin moisturized with vit. E or Cocoa butter you should be fine. Good luck!

Skin cream for men?
Our faces (men and women) are made of the same oils, cells, etc, so men can use the same products that women use. The only reason brands have a "mens range" is for marketing purposes - men would prefer to buy a black or blue bottle of face wash rather than a pink or cream one.

Just make sure he is using the right wash/moisturiser for his skin type - same as the ladies do! If it's oily skin, or dry, you have to buy the products specialised for oily, or dry skin, otherwise you are doing more damage than good.

Body Shop do a good mens range (and they will give you little samples for free to see if you like it.) Prices are a little more than the Simple range though.

All the bigger brand names like Clinique - you're paying for the name and lots of anti aging chemicals, making them significantly more expensive.

If you are talking about less expensive products v. more expensive and famous brands, I think it all depends on what product we are talking about. Nivea is a great brand and has been around for ages. My grandma at the age of 97 had a spotless skin and she used Nivea all of her life. For Men's skincare, I suggest Loreal or Philosophy-

Well last year 2007 on December6, I was bitten on my face by my dog on the right side of my face a little bit below my eye near my nose(right side). Since then I've been using Fred Summit's Ultra Blend%26amp;Tone cream. Instead of it blending my scar in with my skin tone it lighten up around my cheek. I have been also using Walgreens Scar Gel it haven't really been working. And I plan to go out of town on March20. But before I go I want this scar off of my face. So my question is does any one know any type of cream or anything that can quickly heal my scar? I do plan to go to the Dermatologist but I haven't scheduled a appointment yet. And or does anyone know any skin injection for scars? Well if you do please let me know.

I used to use this cream on my face a few years ago. It worked great for lightening my face. The only bad thing about it was that it needs to be applied evenly or else it becomes slightly noticeable on the areas you have not applied the cream to. I used it mostly to get rid of dark spots/acne marks on my face but it ended up lightening up my whole face. Make sure to read the ingredients too because my cousin was allergic to it and once she put the cream on, it got really itchy and she had to wash it off. But good luck!

Reply:My guess is to exfoliate your underarm area with a gentle granular scrub and then apply some type of soothing product over it. Usually the skin darkens because it's been irritated. I've used Ambi, on the areas of my skin where there's hyperpigmentation and it worked quickly. A product with Alphahydroxy Acid may help also. I think that Dark Opal carries a product which contains both alphahydroxy acid and hydroquinone (the lightening ingredient in Ambi).

1/2 Cup Eucerin

1 bottle nasalcrom.

None of the big drug store chains seem to sell it anymore. I found a company called The Science Company and bought a bottle. I did not know that there were different grades until the bottle was delivered and the label warned that the product was not for household use

I picked up a sample on Ebay about a month ago...There are people selling it on there off and on, just search under the name...Its alot smoother and absorbs better than Creme de la Mer I think...and its cheaper! :) But everyones skin is different...Just my two cents, but give it a try, its about 70 to 120$ for one I think....Hope that helps!

Eucerin cream is very good. Just remember not to put it on until all of the radiation treatments are over for good. If you put it on and go to a treatment, it will burn her. Also, ask the radiation nurse what she reccomends.

NO!!!!!!!! You need a moisturizer that is light wait. That way it still gives you moisture for your face but doesn't make your acne worse.

I heard that they have to do that so their skin doesn't get ashy. I also hear Robin Quivers mention it on the Howard Stern show. I live in an all white community and to be honest, have only seen a handful of colored people in person.

"Ashy" is a term used to describe extremely dry skin, however when skin is this dry it shows up as a light blotch on people with dark skin. Lotions or skins creams (which are thicker with heavier moisturizers) help moisten the skin to offset this.

Everyone gets dry skin, but a light blotch on fair skin just doesn't show up (light on light). However, I've seen this on those with extremely red irritated skin.

Basically, you're just using lotions (or creams) to keep the skin from drying out and this is the goal of many beauty products on the market today.

Reply:use a wash called "Sal-Ac" which is a salicylic acid wash. ask the pharmacist to order it (not a prescription product.) you can use a low strength benzoyl peroxide wash daily (get at drug store) which will work on the pimples. some dermatology offices sell generic retin-a without a prescription. you could call offices and find out. take Yasmin birth control pills (if you are already on BCP's) and this will help greatly reduce acne.

I have people swore that Ambi or Nadinola cream works great and you can find them at any drugstore or mass merchandise retailer. You can also try some home remedies too. Try soaking a cotton ball in either lemon juice or buttermilk, then dabbing it to the affected area for a couple of weeks. Those dark spots should disappear.

Only use it if you rash is gone, though.

There's full info on there and it usually works in about six weeks but you'll have to make sure the rash/irritation is gone as you can't apply it to broken or irritated skin. Plus, as with any product, make sure you're not allergic to any of the ingredients.

Try gently exfoliating the area with a loofah, add lemon juice to soap. The citric acid will help lighten the area as well as buff off the dead skin. Keep the area moisturized with a cream, as for the rash to calm it if it returns all you need is instant oatmeal. Slather on the oat meal before bathing, it calms the skin and reduces redness and itching.

Olay as well as any other 'whitening' cream works over a few months. If it's just a tan that is causing your skin to be dark, then I would suggest using a gentle exfoliating wash. An inexpensive one like St. Ives almond scrub will work, but make sure to use just a little bit mixed with a lot of water since the almonds can scratch your skin. You might also try using a peel off mask a couple times a week. Most of all use sunscreen!
Reply:5 days might not be enough to see results because unlike skin tanning that can be done artificially, skin lightening involves skin peeling which takes place maybe 3-7 days after you start applying the skin lighteners.. you wouldn't wanna go to your friend's wedding with a peeling face, would u?.. might as well do it after the wedding so u have enough time..

I have an issue with some parts of my body being darker than others and want to know if there's any bleaching cream that will give me actual results and an even skin tone. And also does anyone no of any cream that will get rid of stretch marks?? I have a problem with that on my "gluteus maximus" and thighs even though i have a petite body. I know of a fast and affordable resolution for anyone who wants lighter skin or who wants to lighten darkening areas such as the elbows, armpits, knees and also acne marks. I use a product by Diana Stalder. Her products worked a miracle on my stretchmarks, ugly dark acne spots, dark elbows, buttocks and knees. I use the Papaya Kojic soap and whitening cream. I have to say that I saw visible results within 3 days and full results within 2 weeks. The Black Licorice soap she sells works well too but in my opinion the Kojic soap works faster and better but everyone is different. I would try both soaps to see which one works better for you. For best results get the set of 3 which consist of a soap of your choice, whitening cream and lotion. I promise if you use this product your skin will be flawless and even toned. I have used everything under the sun and nothing ever worked for me but I can surely say this stuff actually works!

Use a cotton ball and some lemon juice daily they say every 2 days but i wanted quicker results now i just use a couple times a week For stretch marks ive heard maderma is great but i cant bring myself to spend the money on such a tiny little tube so for now i just lotion up and slowly watch them fade

ok so i use that cream and i have senctitve skin and when i wait like 5 mins and i wipe it off with luke-warm water when i wipe it i feel this burning senstation and i dont know if this is normal and then like after i wipe all of it off it still has some hair and i put more on and do the same thing and after i rub it it has like this red mark from where i rub it and i dont rub it hard and like the next day it has like a red rash and it starts to pell (whcih is doing rite now and i didnt do it today i did it yesterday nite and all the hair grew back in already) and it says up to acouple weeks the hair will grow back in. %26amp; sometimes after i wash the cream off my face starts to bleed like where i rubed it off with a wash cloth with. %26amp; i dont know what to do i dont want this rash burn to be permenet.Becuz it has been like this for acoupel months now since i been doing this a lot. i really want to get rid of my hair on face but i dont know what to do. and i dont want to go to the doctor!

Okay hon thats called a chemical burn. That's not good! First of all, make sure you are using Nair that's specifically made for facial hair.

Now, wait until your skin has fully healed. Then, instead of doing it twice (since you said the first time it doesn't remove all hair) try leaving it on a little longer for only ONE application. A good way to test if it's working is by using a damp washcloth to see if the hair is gone. If you still see hair, leave it on a bit longer, but don't exceed the maximum amount of time! If you do, that will result in more burns!

If the hair still isn't gone, wait a few days, then try waxing it. It is more effective since it removes the hair all the way to the root. Nair removes the hair only from just below the skin's surface, not to the root. Think about it, guys have to shave every day right? You probably don't want to have stubble on your face every day, and its probably not a good idea to use harsh chemicals daily. Try waxing, its not as scary as you think, and hurts less than a chemical burn.

I like to lightening my skin, but most cream I have tried have not giving me an even skin colour. They either make my skin dry and itchy or leave me with blemish. The one I am using currently is working on my chest and arms but not on my back and neck, and now some part of my body is dark while some are tan(yellow).

Reply:As far as I've seen, skin lighteners aer not too wise of a choice to use on one's skin. They make the skin's pigment become blotchy and uneven. The skin tone becomes distorted and uneven.

If you want your skin to become lighter, try to avoid staying in the sun, otherwise use a strong and effective sunscreen. Skin becomes darker when it is out in the sun because the UV rays from the sunlight bring out melanin, a dark pigment in your skin that protects against UV rays. This is how most people get tan...so, stay out of the sun, and the prescence of that pigment will be diminished. I doubt that you will be copletely white, as you ae naturally darker toned, but you will have a lightened complexion!

I am not quite sure why you want to lighten your skin, because I bet it is beatiful. Remember that many would kill to have dark skin (as would I), and that you need to accept this part of you. Dark skin is so pretty and striking, and you can wear ANY color and ANY makeup!!! You are so lucky!

I usually use Obagi #3 Clear (skin corrector cream) w/ hydroquinone, but I recently found out that I am pregnant and I stopped using the cream because I was afraid that hydroquinone might have a negative effect. Does anybody know if hydroquinone is not recommended for pregnant women? Can anybody recommend a skin bleaching/lightening cream (for hyperpigmentation) that is safe to use on pregnant women? Are kojic and glycolic acid safe? Can somebody please let me know what is safe and good to use while pregnant? Can you please give me a specific product name because I really want to purchase one? Thank you so much in advance for your help!!

I also use Obagi and have worked in the field for many years. The answer is no, you cannot use any of the steps except for #1 (the cleanser), #2 (the toner), and #6 (SPF). A natural skin lightener that you can use while pregnant is phyto (Skinceuticals makes one). It is always smart to ask your OB as well, but that is what we recommended for our patients at a couple different Plastic surgeons offices. Hope this helps!

Oh and search around online for a list of safe and unsafe products. The strongest fade cream i found is Nadinola extra strength. it has 3%Hydroquinone. does any one know of a stronger over the counter skin fade cream? also how much Hydroquinone does Proactive have.

When I saw a dermatologist, she prescribed Solaquin, another hydroquinone product.

But I guess for non-prescription for healthy skin (please note that your skin should be relatively healthy and free from scars and open wounds), lemon juice works great. It's a natural skin whitener. I just sit in the bathtub, cut a lemon up into slices, and place them over my face and let the juice run.

From Pure Medspa, you can also get the 'Skin Vitalight'. It's a small white tub about the length of your hand and the golden lotion inside smells delightfully fruity. It's supposed to help your skin lighten also. It's great! Gotta use it diligently, though.
